A country I´d like to visit

This is the first blog post and I will talk about Bolivia, which I would like to visit.

Bolivia is a country in Latin America and borders Peru, Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. Bolivia is characterized by being legally recognized as a plurinational territory. It is estimated that 40% of its population is recognized with some indigenous ethnicity, and throughout the territory it is estimated that there are 36 native languages ​​still alive, in addition to Spanish. Another of Bolivia's riches is its diversity of climates, since it has areas of more than 4,000 meters above sea level and even as well as Amazonian areas of just 200 meters above sea level.

Its cultural wealth is invaluable, as are the still existing natural resources of the territory. I would like to know Bolivia to learn from its pre-Columbian stories, its different languages, beliefs and surprise me with its natural wealth. I hope to recognize Bolivia as the great territory it once was.

Well, this year in general, I have seen it full of changes and reflections, criticism and self-criticism. In the academic field, I think I have more clarity regarding my possible professional practice and / or work environment in which I can develop. However, not necessarily in the field of psychology, because I always try to integrate what I learned in the academy with what I learned outside of it, that is, in the different spaces where I develop: the street, the home, interpersonal relationships , etc.

This year I met different people from whom you can learn and, therefore, understand other perspectives of what it means to be human or just how to live in a world like this. Among the good things, I highlight my approach to the land, the vegetables, the seeds and the flowers, an approach that in turn has filled me with contradictions regarding how I live or am living.

In short, a year of ups and downs, a load of emotions always 100%, but with the clear conviction that apprentices and mistakes are necessary to be.

Vegan

I think cooking is my biggest activity in free time because I like to taste new flavors and smells. I am a vegan and the transformation in my diet has been very entertaining since I had to learn to cook for myself.

Today I will talk about how I learn to cook and eat vegan food.  When I was a kid, I always ocuppied the kitchen and liked very much to cook. When I was about eight years old, I used knives and spoons to mix fruits and pasta, or vegetables and sugar. This was not a very good combination, sweet with salty, so it was impossible to eat. With the pass of the years, I learned to cook better because my diet changed. I stop eating meat, because I did not liked anymore and I have a lot of love for the animals, so I think that is not good to eat nothing that comes from them.

I like to cook vegetables, because they are very colorful and have many flavors, for example, I make sauteed vegetables, vegan ceviche and lasagna with vegetable sauce, etc. Also I like sweet things, like cakes, lemon pie, brownies and fruit smoothies. But what I like the most, is the cakes of yogurt, because it is very soft for the palate.

I must confess that I really like all the food.

Work and Social Exclusion

Today we are going to talk about my favorite subject of my seventh semester: “Work and social exclusion“. This subject is from the area of Psychology of work and organizations. One of the reasons i like this subject is because we are 18 students, and other reason is for the contents, being these contents related to socially excluded and marginal jobs regarding public policies and social stigma that recognizes them. The classes are expositive, made by the teacher and other invited guests where different topics are exposed such as: immigration, disability, labor flexibilization, domestic work, sex work, etc.

On the other hand, the subject has a research work that is carried out during the semester. This work I have done together with two partners and we have developed it around meeting sex workers from Santiago. Beyond deepening with respect to research, personally it has been an experience of many and diverse learnings.

In conclusion, "work and social exclusion" has been a very very pleasant course, in as much for the group course as for the topics to be treated. I also think that knowing about these topics is super necessary for training from the social sciences, in the university and in our daily lives.

Freud

He is Freud, the master of psychoanalysis, he was born in the past century. Freud is very important for the present paradigm because he founded the psychoanalyst therapy and invented the free association, building the pillar of the theoretical model. Freud was an extravagant person because he was addicted to cocaine, he also thought that he had cancer. The history tells that Freud was convinced that he had a cancer in the jaw, talked to a pacient (he was a nurse) to eliminate the cancer. as the nurser was a pacient of Freud, he did everything said freud. In the end Freud died of cancer. This history is amazing because the power of the mind is very big. To me Freud represent different things, represent a big theorist, builder of concept as death drive, life drive, unconscious and the theory from the Id, ego and super-ego and also of the dreams. Freud transform the century with your thinkings. Freud analyzed dreams, for me the dreams is a very important in the life of the persons because, the dreams show our repression and the symbolic thing in our life.

The Ship

This photograph belong to my girlfriend in the ship way to Puerto Chacabuco. For me the photograph represent the beauty of the south of this continent, the moutains are bigger and you can see the suspension glaciers. This place also has the giant cascades, but many of them don´t exist, because the temperatures are high and also the company takes advantage of the sea. The photograph represents a resistance against this business because, the nature (that symbolizes the wild), always survive. One of my concerns is that , the animals, mountains, oceans, tree (species lenga, rauli, coihues etc.) die. Is very important make aware the people.

The photograph is very important to me, because it leaves a mark in my history, because when my girldfriends took this picture, I was astonished with all the green nature, I can´t think in another place that  I love. I'm really amazed With the nature, I am the nature lover.  

Politic Violence

In my career, we study differents areas of  psychology. For example: social psychology, juridic psychology, clinical psychology, educational psychology, etc. This areas are always communicate, because the authors and theorists that we reading in class, are related and repeated in other class. For example, in the clinical psychology we read a book of Freud, but in the juridic psychology also we read Freud.

Today, i want talk about the social psychology, in specific, about the class of memory and violence politic. This class is very important for understand the politic process in the history of Chile, because show differents cases in dictatoship, cases of politic violence for example, missings persons, torture centers and photography that explain the reality in this time.

I think that this class is very important because is pilar of the politic history in the actuality. Also, remember about the memory of the past it is necesary for understanding our history.

A activity very amazing was visit the memory center called “Londres 38”, because this center was a detention and torture place. Now this place is a museum of the memory open to the public.
